Upbeat Nails | Nail Art Blog

Hello Everyone!!!
If you are following me in Twitter you must know I finally made tutorials for the Bokeh Circles that I made for one of my BCA Mani. As I got few request on how to make those Translucent Circles I decided to keep my procrastination on the bay and made it. Like I always say If you want tutorials  for any of my design all you need to do is just ask. I will be more than happy to make them.
Things You NeedA base Color- White (Hello Kitty Collection)
Acrylic Paint
Ear Buds
A plastic Container
Top Coat

Step 1:
Paint your nails with the base color. I chose white as it would be a better canvas to show the Translucent Circles.

Step 2:
Take your plastic container and add a small amount /drop of acrylic paint. Add some water and mix it properly. I think the most difficult part to make this circles is to have proper consistency of paint and water. Diluting the paint and water is very important step to make this technique to work. While you are making this mixture the base color will get enough time to get dry.

Step 3:
Dip one side of a ear bud on the mixture you just made and place a large spot/drop anywhere on your nails.

Step 4:
Give this spot /drop about 10 to 15 seconds to dry. Then use the next side of ear bud to soak up the middle of the spot. Try to keep the circle outline for the best result. Change the ear bud if it stops soaking. This is another important step.

There you have your Translucent Bokeh Circle.

Step 5:
Once you get  hold of this technique you can place the spot randomly on your nails and repeat Step 4. Remember you can overlap the circles for more interesting design. After you are satisfied with the placement of circles add a top coat for a beautiful shine and to protect those circles.

Finish Product
Thats it!! if you got any excess polish on your fingers you can remove that with nail polish remover. If you try out these Bokeh Circle nails I would love to see your recreation.

Hello Everyone!!
As I got few request asking if I could make tutorials about Puzzle Nail Art?!? YES ofcourse. I will be glad to make tons of tutorials for you all, Just Ask!!

 Things you need
Two colors - Artic Dark Nude and Camieo Purple
Black Polish - Glamor Nail
Top Coat - True Lover
Toothpick
Scotch Tape

Step 1:
Paint on your base color. I painted 4 times straight away to give more smooth look. And make sure its completely dry to move on to next step. As we will use scotch tape for this mani - wet base coat is big  NO NO. If the color is not dry the tape will most likely pull up the base color. I waited almost 30 minutes!

Step 2:
Cut  two 3 to 4 inch long scotch tape and place it on your nails. Place a tape from cuticles to right middle down on your nails from right side. Place another tape from tip of your nails to right middle up your nails from left side. Hope the image below will make you more clear. The two tape should meet in middle creating Straight vertical and horizontal lines.
I generally use scotch tape but as it real hard to click snap of scotch tape ( it almost invisible) I have used stationery tape so that it will be easily seen.

Step 3:
Once you are satisfy with the placement of tape, paint the unshaded part of your nails (without tape parts) from purple.

Step 4:
After you painted nails with pruple wait for 5 seconds . While it still wet careful peel of the tape one at a time. you will have four rectangle shape on your nails.

 Step 5:
With the help of toothpick/dotting tools add one dot of your base color onto the square of the purple color polish.  Repeat with the other purple colored rectangle . Repeat with your purple color on top of your base color. I hope the images explains better. As you can see the paint is thick and bubbled up but once its dry it will be flat and look perfectly like a puzzle piece.

Step 6 :
Now this is optional step. You can outline the edges from black. I think outlining gives more detail look! after you done with outline add a top coat for beautiful shine and vanish all the bumps.

Finish Product

That it!! if you got any excess polish on your fingers you can remove that with nail polish remover. If you try out these puzzle nails I would love to see your recreation. Share it with me on twitter or Facebook page and tag it with #hgnaildesign!!

Here is quick tutorials to matify your nails!!
There are so many ways to matify your nails you can use matte top coat ,corn starch,  eyeshadows.
But my personal favorite is STEAM. Yes you will require hot boiling water!!
Apply nail polish of your choice as fast as you can. I choose black
Carefully place your hand above the boiling water so that nail colors could catch the steam. Be careful don't get too closer or else you will burn yourself!
Wait for few seconds and pull away your hands.
And there you will have matte polish instantly.

Final Product:
Please do share you re-creation with me if you make your own matte polish using this technique.

It is close to my heart because this is first ever nail art I learnt myself and  loved it so much that I used to do this design all the time. I wear this mani for like 6 months and got lots of compliment. Its is suitable for all occasion. Flower print mani are Elegance and Chic.

I used a toothpick to create this simple flower and it turned out really pretty. You can use Dotting tool or bobby pins. All you will be needing to create this look is colors of your choice.

Hello Everyone!!!
Say hello to Iron man - The guy who occasional beats the bad guys and save the world.. Yes!!! you guessed it right. today I am here to share Iron Man manicure with touch of comic.Recently I watched Iron Man 3 and  loved it so much that i ended up making manicure for it. I LOVE  Tony Stark ,wish I could paint him too but never mind I am happy with my suit for now. I feel pretty powerful. YAY.!!

Honestly speaking, making Iron Man suit with all small details got  my nerves !! Wondering how Tony Stark manage to create all of his boys *facepalm*
The comic Mani came up really well and it took a matter of second to get it right. But Seriously I kept trying and trying to get hold of that suit from Tuesday (1 to 2 hrs) but couldn't. And the sad part is " I FINISHED HALF OF MY NAIL POLISH REMOVER" but still couldn't get satisfied with how the suit look. So I QUIT. After all how long can a person have a endurance??
But on Wednesday  morning - Patience was my middle name. I sat to complete the Mani and I did. I finally got satisfied with suit shape and  I was happy and proud. It end up looking same way like how I imagined it should be.

Just ignore the mess and look how stunning my suit looks  - so ready to beat the bad guys!!

Hard work always pays off! and the suit is ready to fight- "BOOM, CRASH, ZAP,POW" Yeah!!See you next time!
