Upbeat Nails | Nail Art Blog

Hello Everyone!!! Cant believe 2016 is almost over. Do you have any plans for New Year?
Today  I have a quick review of stamping plate from Born Pretty Store. I have Born Pretty Stamping Plates BP-L054 ($2.39) As always the stamping plate came with the standard blue protective film which must be removed prior to use.It had its own cardboard sleeves for storage. The plates come with a plastic backing to avoid sharp edge. This rectangle plate is  covered with beautiful Geometry Pattern. For some reason I found this plate very refreshing.
BP-L054  features 13 big images and 7 small images. The Big images are quite big even for full manicure. The plate is simple but it has endless possibilities. You can go for minimalistic look or reverse stamp to get some eye catching look. As for the quality of the plate -its brilliant.  I didn't had any problem while transferring the design on nails. They are well etched.

I decided to go for subtle look. For this design I used  Angelacq Light  Blue. Then I stamped two different  small pattern on ring and middle finger. For rest of the nails I did some negative space and add some triangle stud.So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below.

Hello Everyone!!!How are you all?
Merry Christmas to all those who are celebrating :)
Today I am celebrating Christmas with Born Pretty Store Product that had been sent to me for review. Let's start with  the Christmas Stamper. The stamper is no different from the regular Starry  Sky Silicone stamper - of which I have already done a review which you can see here. The stamper came with its very own cute little plastic box plus two scarper. The stamper stand/body is filled with Christmas design thats what made this Stamper special.  The stand is available in two different design and the head of the stamper is  available  in five colors.
The stamper head is sticky and its picks up the design perfectly. For this Stamper I used Tape to remove the excess design. Acetone tends to damage this stamper. The product is listed under ID Code 36395 and  is available for  $3.59

The second product that I am gonna review is Christmas Stamping plate BP-130 As always the stamping plate came with the standard blue protective film which must be removed prior to use. The plate is filled with tons of cute Christmas design. Bells, Sleigh, Santa, Tree, Socks and more. The plate is of brilliant quality, the images transferred super clean and stamped without any issues. I adored the design on this plate.
Actually for Christmas, I had planned to make a super cute design. You can see my inspiration picture here. You know BayMax? From BIG HERO 6 Movie? The cute Medical Robot? If yes than this manicure will make more sense to you. If not then you should probably watch the movie :)
Anyway the idea was to create BayMax as accent design and  filled the rest of the nails with Christmas lights, But I got this stamping plate on the same day, so I decided to Stamp on rest of the nails instead.
If you are interested in  this seasonal product you can buy the stamper and Stamping plate  from  here  and here and you can  use my discount code ASXW10 to get 10% off your entire order.
You can find them on all of the usual social media outlets too, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Hello Everyone!!!
Today is the last theme for ABC Challenge. 26 weeks of fun is going to end today. This challenge has really help me to push myself beyond my limit and been a great learning process. The last prompt is  "Z" of-course. To keep with a theme I decided to do Zebra pattern.
As always I started with white base. Once it was dry, I used French tip nail sticker to create sideways half moon, and finally  stamped Zebra patterns using  BP- X13 stamping plate.  So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below.

Hello Everyone!!!
It seems like I made a mistake with the ABC Challenge. The Y prompt should be on December 2 not last Friday. Bummer!!! I’ve seen a lot of pictures of Movember nails this month, but I didn't  had enough time to do it for myself. As I made a mistake with ABC Challenge I am gonna  squeeze a mustache nail art this week before it's too late. So here is a very cute Movember manicure.

I started with white base and  hand painted on the mustache and glasses with black acrylic paint. And for rest of the nails I simply did Chevron. I really wanted to  create the mustache pattern all over nails but  its very time consuming and tad bit difficult. So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below.

Hello Everyone!!
Any plans for weekend? I am planning to watch "The Girl On The Train" later with my sisters. I loved the book so I am pretty excited for the movie. Its been on my watch list ever since I knew the book will be adapted as movie. I hope its good as the novel. Have you watched it?
Continuing with ABC Challenge, this week is for "Y". To keep with a theme I decided to do Yacht Pattern. Now realizing that after a week the challenge will end I am kind of relieved but sad.
I started off with light blue base. Then I fan brushed darker shade of blue and white. Then I hand painted Yacht pattern. So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below. I will see you next Friday.

Hello Everyone!!! How is your weekend going so far?
Me and my sisters went to watch Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them yesterday and the movie was so good. I absolutely loved it :D
I am so late for this post but I didn't had internet connection since Friday. Anyway last Friday theme was X for which I decided to go with X-Mas. I am seriously running outta ideas. I am kind of glad the challenge is going to be over in coming two weeks.
For this manicure I created a gradient base with Sheer Shiny white and blue polish. Once I was satisfied with it. I simply stamped some Christmas design. So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below. I will see you next Friday.

Hello Everyone!!!
Today  I have a water decal from Born Pretty Store to review for you. Its Starry Galaxy Water Decals. Its listed under ID Code no 34656 and is valuable for $1.29.
 http://upbeatnails.blogspot.com/p/isclosure.html
The Decals came in plastic cardboard. The sheets have 14 decals, different sizes, so you can use according to the need. You can apply it on all of the nails or just to create accent nails. I didn't had any problem. Few minutes in the water and the decals slides right off. This decals are not that sensitive and delicate . As long as it's wet, you can easily re-position it. I am very impressed with this product.
For this manicure I used black base at first but once when I applied the decals and top coat you can barely see  designs (pinky finger). So a White base is a must for this particular decal. I added some dream catcher decals over it to match it with the wallpaper that I have in my Cell phone ;)
So what do you guys think?  Are you as impressed with them as I am?  Are you going to try them out?  Please let me know what you think in the comments!

Hello Everyone!!! Happy Weekend. Hope its going great so far.
I am a day late for this post. I just couldn't nail any design. With the Challenge coming almost to its end, its getting harder too. The Alphabet seems complex for the first time  :P
I had a beautiful manicure planned for this theme A wolf howling on full moon but the idea couldn't be accomplished no matter how many time I tried, Then I decided to do water color Flower but it too turned out a disaster so I finally settled on just Water Color. So My W is For  Weird Water Color Smoosh.

I wanted to do nimbus design but I was out of energy by the time I thought of it so I just randomly put the dots here and there. So what do you think? Let me know on the comment below. I will see you next Friday.

Hello Everyone!!!
Cynthia from Born Pretty Store have kindly sent me following items to review. In this post I'll be talking about BP 122 stamping plate,Starry stamper as well as their new product silicone nail art mat.

http://upbeatnails.blogspot.com/p/isclosure.html
Lets talk about Starry Stamper first. The product is listed under the ID No 35169 and is available for $2.99.The stamper's head and holder came on to separate package. The stamper is quite sticky and squishy. Its available in three more colors, Green,Blue and Purple. I chose Gold. The stamper looks like a beautiful galaxy.
I had doubt before whether it will pick up a design because of its stickiness but it worked brilliantly at first try. I used tape method to remove the rest of the stamper design as I wasn't sure if nail polish remover would be good for this one. I had no problem at all using this stamper. In fact this was one of the best stamper I have used so far.
   http://upbeatnails.blogspot.com/p/isclosure.html
Second Product that I am gonna review is Silicone Mat. Its listed under Id No 34555 and is available for $5.99. Its comes in two sizes. Mine measures 21*15cm and another 28*21cm. The BPS Mat is a flexible, transparent, washable and acetone resistant silicone mat meant for several purposes. You can use it to protect you work station for nail art. There are many uses for this. You can use for stamping, make your own decals, paint, splatter and more. Remember to always apply a clear coat of top coat in the mat before.
I stamped the design of the following stamping plate on the silicone mat and turned out really good. When I was done, I simply clean it with acetone and the mat was good as new. There was no stain left.I am very excited to make my own decals using this mat.

The last product that I am gonna review is BP 122 Stamping plate. Its listed under ID No 35741 and is available $1.59.  As always the stamping plate came with the standard blue protective film which must be removed prior to use. Its Halloween themed. It has pumpkin, coffin, eyeball, spider web and more design.
This plate is of brilliant quality, the images transferred super clean and stamped without any issues.
For this manicure I started with white base then sponged purple, blue and orange to create a gradient. Then I stamped pumpkin on it.
